Friends and customers, even friendly customers who keep track of me, know that I have been going at a frenetic place of late. It has been a whirlwind of shows and ailing parents and the shop has not been really open in months. I feel bad about it but it is what it is.
However all the while I have been obtaining and acquiring magnificent new stuff, crystal, silver, paintings prints and decorative objects of all manner and stripes. Leslie and I are working with a northern estate and selling an amazing collection of rare silver, glass and paintings. Gorham, Tiffany Chrysanthemum, Florentine and Olympian as well as a lot of holloware in the Clover pattern. I can not overstate the incredible stuff that is now passing through my hands. Last week I bought a 16th or 17th century spanish colonial communion box that has to be seen to be believed.
This weekend I was given a phenomenal collection of french and american cameo and fine glass to sell. Gallé, Daum Nancy, Steuben, even a rare Tiffany floriform vase.
If you have an opportunity please call for an appointment and come check this stuff out. My shop is a wreck but hopefully it will be presentable by this weekend. My goal for the next two months is to get pictures of my new material on line.
