I acquired these two Belgian genre paintings from the estate of an old deceased french fellow, Henri Leon. They were first attributed as the work of the Flemish artist Jan Jozef Horemans II (1740-1790) and then to the elder’s brother Peter Jacob Horemans (1700-1776).  They are not signed so I am afraid that I will have to leave the ultimate attribution to the experts to quibble over. They have been historically relined and need some very minor work. I had them framed. They measure 20 x 24″ each. Quite wonderful work. Look at the execution of the steins and you will see their quality. sold
